ABOUT JUSTIN FOSTER
Hello, my name is Justin Foster. I've been teaching Social Studies at Symmes Junior High School since 2013. Before that, I taught for three years at Pontiac High School in Shawville. From 1996 to 2009, I was based in Seoul, South Korea where I taught EFL at two universities and a number of companies. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, listening to music (from classic rock to jazz) and following sports. especially hockey and football. (Go Habs! Go Packers! Go Patriots! Go Scorpions! Go Gee Gees!)
A BIT ABOUT THIS SITE
You will find below a general description of each of the courses I teach, as well as an idea of what I expect from the students. A basic list of supplies is also included.
You can find blog posts at the bottom where I will post important information including due dates for tests, assignments and homework. This is likely to be updated a couple of times per week.
Assignments/projects, notes, handouts and a full course outline will be given to students in class. (They are not available on the site.)
For general school policies, rules, etc. students should refer to their student agendas. These are distributed to each student on the first day of school and should be brought to every class.
Ideally, if a student (or, a parent) has questions, needs help or is missing a document, I would like her or him to contact me. The best place to find me in person is Room 144, and if you need to contact me by email, please use jfoster@wqsb.qc.ca. I check this email a few times per day and will try to reply as soon as possible.
