Late/missed HIS/GEO tests due by Wednesday at latest!
Any GEO student that did not do the Indigenous test last Thursday or any HIS student that did not hand in the Chapter 5 take-home test on last Friday's due date must get these done by Wednesday, June 3 at the latest. I need to submit my marks and list of exam recommended/exempted students this week, so students need to catch up ASAP or risk receiving a mark of zero.

HIS 213 Take-home evaluation
Instead of writing a regular test for Chapter 5, students will complete and hand in a take-home evaluation. Students can do it on their own time, using the documents included in the package to help find the answers. The design of the test is similar to that of workbook and final exam questions.(We did a similar exercise as practice, last month, so the format should be familiar to students.) Some students receive this yesterday, and others will get it today. It is due on F

GEO 103 Final pre-exam evaluation
GEO 103 students will have a short test/quiz on the Indigenous People workbook. This will happen on Thursday, May 28.

One more last chance for HIS test rewrites
There will be another HIS test rewrite on Tuesday, May 19 in Room 229 at 11:50 AM. Today's rewrite was not possible, so I need to give people another chance to do the test. Apologies to any inconvenienced students today. I had an important issue to deal with that could not be ignored. Thank you for understanding.

Last chance for HIS test rewrites!
Thursday, May 14 will be the last chance for students to make up missed HIS tests from last week. Students needing to write the test should come to Room 229 at 11:50 AM.

Rewrites for missed HIS tests
Students who missed today's HIS test can write it on one of the following dates at 11:50 AM in Room 229: Monday, May 11 or Tuesday, May 12. Please remember that failing to complete a missed test or assignment will result in a mark of zero.

Uninterrupted Teaching Time
Because exams are just around the corner, we will soon be entering uninterrupted teaching time at Symmes and D'Arcy McGee. Students should be learning in class, and we want to minimize the numbers of students in the hallways during class time. Students are expected to use the bathroom and get water before or after class, not during class. I would highly recommend students get a refillable water bottle, so that they have access to water throughout their time in class. Eme

GEO Project Work Periods and Due Date
GEO students - in groups of one, two or three - are about to start a PowerPoint and presentation project on a UNESCO cultural heritage site. (This is similar to a project done in December.) The following dates have been set aside for in-class research and work. Any work that is incomplete - either on the slideshow or practicing the presentation - should be done on their own time. GEO 15 work periods will be on April 21 and 29. GEO 16 work periods will occur on April 23 a
