GEO and HIS test rewrites
Any student who missed Monday's Geography test or Tuesday's (yesterday's) History test MUST see me about a rewrite. The deadline to rewrite the test is Wednesday, October 31, no exceptions. If a student does not rewrite this most recent missed test (or, any test during the year) he or she will receive a mark of "0".
GEO Test Date Change!

Because we are still finishing up UNESCO presentations - which, by the way, have been very good - and also because I don't want to rush through the last part of Natural Hazards/Disasters, I have decided to switch the original test date tomorrow (Thursday, October 18) to Monday, October 22. HIS Test Definitions Vocabulary
These are the twenty (20) words students need to be able to identify and give the significance of for the Chapter 2 (Mesopotamia) test on Tuesday, October 23. All come from worksheets or notes we've completed in class, but can also be found online or elsewhere. GEO 103-03 UNESCO Project Reminder: Oct. 15
The UNESCO World Heritage Site (natural) projects assigned last month are due to be presented on Monday, October 15 (Day 3). These must be sent to jfoster@wqsb.qc.ca in advance. Also, students should bring in a copy of the project on a memory stick/USB as a "plan B" just in case there are any internet-related technical issues.
HIS Ancient Egypt Project: Nov. 5
The last project/assignment of Term 1 is the Ancient Egypt Slide Project, due on Monday, November 5 (Day 8). Students will: choose a topic related to Egypt, research the topic and design a Google or PowerPoint slide. One class period will be set aside for research and/or slide design, but the rest will need to be done for homework. Should be fun! A sheet describing the project will be handed out today.
HIS Test: October 23!
The Chapter 2 History Test - mostly covering Mesopotamia - will be on Tuesday, October 23 (Day 8) for all groups. The test will include: a map question, a timeline question, a definitions section and a compare/contrast question about Mesopotamia and one of the other three major civilizations - Nile Valley, Indus Valley or Ancient Chinese - we've looked at.
